This Is It...

Well, this is it...my last blog. I love to blog, but after re-evaluating I have decided that this is something that I need to let go. I am just too sick to keep this going. I will continue to read your blogs and will LOVE every minute of it...so please keep going. The bare neccessities are the things I need to concentrate on and will let go of many things I love, but just are unable to do.
As Crystal (from Biblical Womanhood) says,
"I need to do all things in strength and grace to fulfill His calling in my life."
Right now, for me, to fulfill my 'callings' I need to direct the energy I have in other ways. Please do not think that I think blogging is not a good thing. I think it is a GREAT thing to keep connected to loved ones...so all of you that read this...and blog...keep blogging. I love this passtime and hope to be able to begin blogging again soon.
LOTS OF LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!

Tagged

Oh 'Momzoo' tagged me and I am to write the Top 10 reasons why I like to Blog!
So here it goes!
10-It is fun to be a blog stalker! I look at blogs of old friends and take a peek into their lives and they don't even know it! But, it really bugs me when I know people are doing the same thing to me!
9-Blogging helps me put things into perspective in my own life as I think ,a lot, about what I will blog about.
8-Since I have been sick it has gotten pretty lonely on many days and blogging has been a great friend. I have really liked getting comments.
7-As I have checked out others blogs I have learned so much stuff! I have tried some great recipes...I am making cowboy beans and cornbread today that I got from "Confessions of a Pioneer Woman". I have been spiritually uplifted from an Easter post on "Biblical Womanhood". I have ordered some books from another and learned about a new craft project from another and been given a boost to straighten up and get organized (thanks Aimee) and the list goes on and on.
6-I try to post things that maybe others might learn or be edified or even laugh...as a return favor to those that have done the same for me.
5-It is a really fun way to get connected and stay connected to family members and friends and even those that check my blog out and don't comment!! We all know what is going on in each others lives and that helps to bind us together in a unique way.
4-BD even checks out my blog to see what is going on in my head! I wish he had a blogspot!
3-Blogging has helped me become more efficient on my computer. I can do a lot more things because I have learned how to do all kinds of stuff so I can do blog posts!
2-Blogging is the "in" thing to do...and since I can't look or dress or act "in" or "hip" or whatever (see I don't even know the right way to say it)...at least I can blog.
1-I really have no idea why I do this because it really does expose my life and my thoughts and my weaknesses. I guess I just thought if I could share my life with you...that you would share your life with me....and we could be friends! Wow, I think I just wrote a song!

I am tagging Rachel Alder, Ann Montgomery and Abby

Spring

Could it really be true that Spring is really here or is it just another joke from Mother Nature?

Spring is not my favorite season. I love Winter and Summer and Fall...but Spring...not so much. In Utah it seems that Spring is just a bunch of ups and downs. I will just get my hopes up and think warm weather is here...and we will get blasted with a frost or East wind or both!
This year it has been so cold for so long that I am barely seeing blooms on my tulips. I have planted some Spring veggies and they are slow coming up. I hope they will produce before it is time to pull them up to make room for the summer ones. Spring is something you can't count on around here. I am anxiously awaiting Summer!

Blog Blessings

I think blogging is fun, but more than that I am amazed how it has connected family and friends! I have looked at blogs of people I don't even know and have received some good ideas to run my household better, recipes and even had a good laugh or two. A couple days ago I checked in on a blog called "Chickens in the Road". She had a GREAT recipe for something called Grandmother Bread. It sounded good so I tried it...and it was delicious! I think it will become one of my favortie recipes. The neat thing about it is that it can be all done by hand and it is easy or it can all be done in my Kitchenaid mixer and it is easy! Let me just tell you it was good. And also let me tell you all
Thanks for blogging.
I love the pictures.
Thanks for your comments...many days they keep me going...literally!!!

Answers

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree with your comments about the draw backs of womanhood! Shaving...bras...veins...andthe uterus issues!!! Yes, ain't it great being a girl!
Aimee asked what i would do differently when raising kids...if I could do it all over again...
Good question. I can answer that ONLY because I am older and wiser and I'm not raising any children any more! First of all I would take more seriously the admonition from the Prophets to have family prayer, scripture study and FHE. We did this...but I would be more consistant. I totally believe that this helps put ALL things in the proper perspective. I remember one year when my kids were really little that we did not go to the park all summer long. Oh, my laundry was done and the house was clean and my church calling fulfilled.etc. etc....but we never had 'time' to go to the park. I have felt guilty about this...forever. I think even these kinds of things are helped by doing the "big 3" things first.
So...to all you young moms out there remember that when you do things in 'wisdom and order' that 'great things will be brought to pass'.

Aint it Great

Aint it great being a girl? I am just sitting here eating my edamame and sweating like a...well...there is no lady like way to put it...like a pig! Oh, I think this stuff is working, but it is a long way from a cure! I am really getting sick and tired of being so hot. BD just looked out the window and it is snowing! I would LOVE to take off my clothes and go running out there just to cool down to a normal 98.6...or is it 96.8? Anyway it doesn't really matter to me because I am easily 999.666!!! So, you have heard it from me.
What is your biggest 'beef' about being a girl?
If I ruled the world I think I would take care of the hormone issue!

TV

Well, it is certainly time for a new post! I must apologize for not keeping up lately...I have had bloggeritis. Every time I thought about doing a new post I just felt queazy, so I have been avoiding it. But, I feel better now!
If I could change the world do you know what I would change today?
I would tell the TV people to get their act together. Have you noticed that when you get the volume just right for your TV viewing...and everything is going along just fine...and then when the commercials come on you get BLASTED!! That is always when BD comes along and says, "Can you hear it ok?" So, I turn it down...and when the commercials are over I can't hear the dang thing!
I have no idea how to change this...but if I could, I surely would.
Thanks for your questions last week.
If you have any more pressing problems, feel free to ask.
I feel better now and will get right on it!
The gas issue was a big deal and so I do recommend that all of us stay away from Mobile and Exxon gas stations...and yes Kathy was right about why.
